Andrew qualified as a maths teacher in 2001 after completing his PGCE in Secondary Mathematics Teaching at Newcastle University. He has been a Key Stage 2 Mathematics examiner for the past 5 years, GCSE examiner for the past 8 years, working with Edexcel, OCR and currently AQA. He has also been an A level examiner for the past 7 years specialising in Mechanics for Edexcel.
He has led successful Mathematics departments for the past 10 years and is currently working for the Emmanuel Schools Foundation as an Assistant Head of Mathematics.
Throughout his career, Andrew has taught across the ability range and has always been able to improve students’ confidence and outcomes in Mathematics through clear and effective instruction.
David qualified as a maths teacher in 1998 having completed his PGCE at the University of Bristol. He has worked in several outstanding schools across the North East , been the Head of Mathematics at a large comprehensive school in Gateshead and recently became an examiner for AQA exam board. David has successfully taught many GCSE and A-level classes throughout his career. His AS-level further maths class appeared in the 2015 Good Schools Guide for their exemplary exam performance.
David is a talented and experienced teacher who knows how to get the best from his students. His teaching focuses on understanding and applying mathematics, challenging the students throughout each lesson, ensuring students make strong progress and are fully prepared for GCSE and A-level exams.
